There are thousands of articles discussing what it takes to be a writer and writing rules. Many focus on what you should do, while others show you what not to do. It can get overwhelming and daunting for just about anyone who has mild interest in writing, never mind someone who believes they have a story to tell. In an attempt to filter out the nonsense, I searched the net for weeks and compiled a list of the best advice I found. I hope this helps you as much as it helped me.
