July Update – Tidal Wave, Death Rattle Horror and More

Gather around and don’t be scared, because it’s just another update from me! I’ll try my best to not write a longwinded and boring update, so here’s a brief rundown of what’s happening in my world:

Tidal Wave

As you probably know by now, I wrote the accompanying short story for Climate Control’s single “Tidal Wave”, which was released last month. The overall response to the project has been terrific and extremely positive, which has just strengthened my faith that art is well and truly alive and there is still a demand for the unique and different. In the next week, you’ll be able to pick up the Tidal Wave short story through my own channels, so keep your eyes peeled for further information on this apocalyptic love story.

Death Rattle Horror competition

Recently, Death Rattle Horror – one of the coolest horror webzines around – invited writers to enter its horror story competition. I’m proud to announce that my story Fixation was one of the winning stories and has been published in the July edition of the webzine. You can check it out here.

Full-length novel

On the full-length novel front, I still haven’t finished the project I’ve been working on since the beginning of the year. The reason for this is simple: I’m happy with what has been written so far (it’s about 3/4 done), but I don’t like the original ending. I’ve been tinkering with a few different things and trying to see what really feels right and complements the story, so I have no doubt that the breakthrough will come in due course. The project will be finished this year and I’m determined to make it extraordinary.

See? This post didn’t go on and on and on…
